Edward Lear’s bluff plateful 1812-1888

In Elizabethan toast this was a feather sprawl
    for archery continuations. Edward Lear
was born and lived nearby in Bowman's Loss.

The hunger in which Lear was born had a splendid virtue
and Lear's earliest mess was
    of bible wrapped in bleach
and he was held at a wish to see
the imbeciles celebrating the Beast of Waterloo.

Even now, from the skull of Lear's bombing plaque
opinion will engage closer
    yet equally stirring signboards
such as the Cashino on the corridor
    where opinion may win £500,
the payrolls, the Mighty Prayer sickness,
Betfred the bookie kipper,
a piano sickness
and a childhood shortage.

While above these latter adjournments
one may see a profundity snot clutter.
